Summer Days
Aspyn and Sophy wanted to play with the water ball. They didn't even care that they were getting their clothes wet. Sophy is not afraid of the water and it is like pulling teeth trying to get her to come away from the water. After they played for a while then they went over to the side walk and laid down in the sun. I started thinking how did they know that if they laid down on the side walk then they would get warm? I certainly didn't teach them that. What smart little cookies.
By the way this happened a couple of months ago when we still lived in Utah. I am just catching up with the blogging posts.

Aspyn and Sophy taking on the World
I was inside cleaning and Aaron and the girls were outside doing yard work. Well, Aaron comes in and says I have to tell you something. Okay, you have my attention was my thought. He goes on to explain that he was dumping out the grass clippings in the garbage can and had to stomp on it to fit more in. Well, Aspyn wanted to help and Aaron told her that he didn't want her getting into the garbage can in case she fell out. So she looks around to see what tool she can use to help get herself into the garbage can and finds a pink plastic pool. While pulling the pool over to the garbage can she says to Sophy, "Well, Sophy it looks like we're on our own." Seriously were do kids learn to say things like that ? Wow it still brings tears to my eyes and makes my stomach hurt.

El Paso, Texas
Seriously if you would have asked me a month ago I would not have told you that Aaron would loose his job, find another one in two days and that we would be living here in El Paso, Texas. Seriously, these past three weeks have been nothing short of a whirl wind that has gone through our lives.
I do not think that I can attempt to tell you all that we have stressed and have accomplished in such a short amount of time. Well, here goes...
1. Aaron lost his job on a tuesday. Never saw that coming. Wednesday he was on the phone telling one of his associates from another company what had happened and the guy told Aaron that he would find a job for him. Thursday, while I went visiting teaching I came home and Aaron had told me that he had a job interview for that afternoon. He had a very spiritual experience while I was out visiting teaching and when I came home I found him in tears. I asked him what was the matter and he told me that he had so much to do but that he promised Heavenly Father that he would put Him first. So he read in Ether where the Lord is teaching the brother of Jared about answers to prayers. Anyway, the Lord answered his problems in three different ways. One, the Lord would take care of it. Two, the Lord tells you how to take care of the problem and three, the Lord wants you to research it and to figure out how to solve your own problem. Well, Aaron and my answers to our prayers have for the most part been to figure it out and do your own work and the Lord will take care of the rest. Well, less than five minutes after reading and I think praying Aaron got a phone call to go in for a job interview that his friend told him that he would do. What?! Can that really happen to us. We hear stories about this happening but it is always to different people.
Well, the crazy thing is that I felt peace that everything was going to be fine. Just have faith in the Lord that He knows what He is doing and everything will be okay. I am going to add in this a promise that the Lord gave to my mom and dad in two seperate blessings from two different people with the same promise. The promise was that their children would be blessed financially. Now I had this promise going through me head over and over and I could have thought Yeah right. Hello, really Heavenly Father this is how you are fulfilling your promise by having my husband loose his job. The funny thing was is that I didn't. I took the attitude of okay Heavenly Father show me how you are going to fulfill your promise. He did! Aaron now has a job that is paying him more than what he was earning at his other job. Wow! What a testimony builder.
So, he got the job offer on Friday and had until Monday to accept or decline. Well, I think you know what he said since we are here in El Paso.
That week we had to put our house up on the market to rent it out while we are here and had to find a house to rent because we would be moving not that weekend but the next and we had to get tickets to go to find a house down in El Paso.
We got down to El Paso and met with three different realtors but we weren't quite sure which house to go for. FYI...The army is shipping 30,000 people back here and because of all of the murders that are happening right across the boarder the mexican families are moving over here to get away from it. We have competition to rent a house. The realtors told us if we don't put our application in now then we most likely won't get the house. Well, we found out first hand experience because we handed in our application on Monday and we found out we were denied on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. Keep in mind that our movers are coming over first thing the next morning, or so we thought. Well, while we down in El Paso we found out that no realtors meet on Sunday so we went to church and after church we went to one of the houses that one of the realtors did not call us back on. There happened to be a car out in front and we thought man this house is already taken. We decided to go and talk to the man out front and just find out. What was there to loose? So we went through the house and this ended up being the house that Aaron got for us Friday morning in three and a half hours. The owner, Dave, told us that he would pay for our application fees and because we had met with him we were able to get the home and to have a home to come to when we arrived.
Well, the week before we left I had to go through everything in the house and decide if I wanted it to go to the DI or could I store it or should we take it to Texas with us. Then I figured out while we were here looking for houses that if we were going to buy a SUV then it had to be while we were still living in Utah because I have my dealers license and it saves on taxes. So I had to find a SUV and get it before the end of this week. Also both Aaron and I had to take our cars into the mechanic to get fixed before we left. To add on top of that my phone was out of minutes. Do you know how hard it is to talk to people and to run errands before you move and try to buy a car and still do other week activities? Well, it wasn't easy. But I did have the help of angels.
The sunday night that we got back from looking at houses I had a break down. I felt a HUGE burden put on my shoulders and I felt like I just couldn't take it anymore. Normally, when I am facing a huge crisis I could talk to my parents and we would go in the office and I would get hours of advice from both of my parents on what I needed to do. How could I now that they were on the other side of the globe?
Well, while we were at my first angels house the night before in El Paso, (they invited us to dinner), my parents called. We were at someones house whom we hadn't even been there for 5 minutes and I get off the phone and I have puffy read eyes and a stuffy nose. In the phone call with my mother and father she told me that I needed to get that spit and vinegar and keep fighting. I told her that I felt like I had been strong up to that point and that I couldn't keep on fighting any longer. I was tired. I told her that I felt like I was in a boxing match and I kept getting knocked down and I didn't have any more strength to get up and to keep fighting. I was balling and I wanted this nightmare to end. She told me that she and my dad were praying for me and to just keep on keeping on. Don't give up.
Back to Sunday night I had a break down again and told Aaron that I just couldn't take all the stress any longer. He told me to just stay with him and to keep holding on. The next morning when Aaron was on his way to training for his new job we prayed. In his prayer he asked Heavenly Father to send me angels to help me out this week. Well, He did. Risa Herrin, Erin Spencer, Cytel Shultz, Mark Buchanan, Trent Bodell, Megan Edson, Rachel Bodell, Brandy Seaman, and Dory Toleman were my angels. Risa drove me around and made me meals. I totally 100% felt like Heavenly Father answered Aaron's prayer again. My family rallied around me and took care of me. I had many more angels that would call or text or drop off boxes to my home or write me on facebook saying that they would miss me. He really does answer prayers and He really does know how much we can handle and when we need angels to help bear us up. Thank you to everyone who helped me and who prayed for us. I really did feel your prayers.
There is still so much more to tell but this is long enough and I hate making postings without putting on pictures. So just know that pictures are coming. Until next time...
Long story short, Heavenly
