Puppies Inside

After making sure that all the puppies went potty outside (or so I thought) and I brought them in. After a couple of accidents they had so much fun climbing stairs and playing with my daughters toys. Romeo LOVES balls and could not get enough of one of my girls balls. Here are some pictures of them during and after playing. Cardea found a little hiding spot under the raised feeders and was the only one who after coming inside, went straight to sleeping. Belle is in the picture with Rose and Butch. Those three played for about 10 minutes with my daughters moose. They LOVED that moose. It squeaked and made a crackle sound and I am sure that that is why they played with it for so long.

Just so everyone knows we are switching the puppy food to Eagle Pack. This food is recommended for giant breeds and has the specialized protein and fat content for great danes. You can buy it online but check to see if your local stores carry it. It is available in some stores in the Salt Lake Valley so go online to check the different stores that carry it.

Six and a half weeks

The puppies are so much FUN!!! They are also a lot of work. Cardea, Belle and Butch are the first ones to come when you call. Rose and Romeo are not as interested but are more independent. These two seem happier just playing with each other then coming when you call. They all love cuddling up on you when they want to sleep and they are all true lap dogs.

Romeo, Belle and Rose love going into the hole that Tally dug. It is under the deck and it is so funny watching them crawl out. They LOVE being under the deck. We have added dirt back into the hole 3 or 4 times and Tally and the puppies still dig it up and climb back into the hole. So to solve the problem Aaron put stakes into the place where they dig. A couple of the pictures are of them in the hole under the deck.

This past week we took the puppies out front and Rose climbed up the stairs and fell asleep. It was so cute. Belle fell asleep right next to the sprinkler head and Cardea fell asleep on one of the neighbor boys lap and Romeo was happy just exploring everywhere. Butch came right up to me and just wanted to be held and loved by me and fell asleep on my lap after all of the puppies had a chance playing with each other. I LOVE these puppies! I just can't get enough and neither can my girls.

Butch and Cardea and the ones that typically follow me around when I go in the backyard. All of the puppies like playing with my girls and are going to be awesome around other kids. Just make sure that the kids are soft with them.

In the contract we stated to keep the puppies away from other dogs as much as possible. We do realize that some of you have other pets. It is fine if you have your puppy around them as long as they are current on their vaccinations. We just don't want you taking them to dog parks until the puppies are vaccinated. That is our recommendation but again you are the future owners so it is up to you.

Here are some fun pictures over the past couple of weeks. Man they are so funny to watch.
