New Years Day and Week

These pictures are of us and our friends the Biesingers.  Their girls and our girls love playing with each other.  I guess you could say our girls are obsessed with playing with Ellie and Hannah and MaKayla.  We love them too!  It is so nice when you have such good friends that you can do things with and talk with about anything and everything.  We LOVE the Biesingers!

These are pictures of the girls playing on their jeep out in our front yard.  You will notice that there is no grass.  This is typical in El Paso.  We are just grateful that we have grass in the backyard!  The girls loved playing with the jeep.

The other pictures are of us and the Biesingers hanging out on New Years Eve.  We played games and played guitar hero until the big ball dropped.  We did watch that on TV.  I was so sad when I thought about where I was last year.  We have a tradition of going to the cabin with my side of the family.  So I was a little sad thinking of them and all of the fun and memories they were having without us because I wanted to be in on the fun.  The good part about being in Texas is that we are with friends we wouldn't have met any other way.

The other interesting thing about living in Texas is that this is the normal amount of snow.  At least we got something that reminded me of Utah.  Who would have thought that I would have missed the snow.  I did!  It is only about an inch or maybe two but it still counts as snow.

Christmas in Utah

We had Christmas early in Texas so we could actually spend Christmas day in Utah with family.

The girls did great on the flight.  It is so much easier taking the girls with Aaron's help instead of doing it by myself. Sophy was not too happy because I was taking another picture and it was late at night.  Poor girl.

On Christmas Eve we made sugar cookies at my parents house.  Thanks Megan for planning it and for baking all the dough and making the frosting.  We had lots of fun and lots of left overs.  That night we exchanged presents.  I love spending time with our families.

On Christmas day we woke up at Shanelle's and Barbee's and ate breakfast then we went over to Buchanan's had opened up Christmas presents, talked to Uncle Elder Adam, played and ate.  It was so much fun!

Then we went to Marty and Rachel's and played over there.  Pieper came with us and they all loved playing together.

We did go out to Leatherbee's the day that we left.  That was one of the restaurants that we missed.  It was fun to see family and friends.

Love you all and Merry Christmas.

Christmas in El Paso

Yes this is three months late. Our friends the Lindsay's let us borrow there decoration for our Christmas tree.  Aaron wanted to buy one but I didn't.  I didn't want to have one more thing to pack when we come back to Utah.  We called it our Charlie Brown Christmas tree.  Sophy went to bed so I only have a picture of Aaron and Aspyn decorating it.  After we were done decorating the tree, Tally decided it was her new place to sleep.

The girls had a wonderful Christmas!  We celebrated on Tuesday instead of Friday.  We wanted to have our own so we didn't have to have Santa bring us presents somewhere else.

Aspyn was so excited that she got a panda bear.  That was the one gift that she wanted.  Santa also brought her a Jeep.  Aspyn also got a mini muffin pan, an apron, and some cookie mixes.  She also got rain boots and an umbrella.  There is a picture of her wearing the apron, rain boots, and holding the panda and the umbrella.  We also made some mini cup cakes.  She loves cooking!

Sophy got a pooh bear!  She loves Winnie the Pooh.  Soapy also got a bike and got some fun crayons and markers to color while in the bath tub.  She loves playing in the bath.  Sophy also loves music and she got a cd player with three cd's.  She loves, loves, loves listening to it.  She also liked playing with her tea party or I like to call it her "Hot Chocolate" party.

The best part of Christmas is watching the girls play with each other and watching them share with each other.

Sophy turning so I can't take her picture

Sophy hating having her picture taken

It was sad because right after we woke them up to open presents Daddy had to leave to go to work.  The good news is that Mommy got to clean up the wrapping paper and pull the toys out of the open proof boxes.  The girls did love it though.  It made me realize how much "Family" means to me.  I love my family and I wouldn't have had it any other way.

Happy Birthday Sophy

Sophy,

An eager sister always willing to lend a helping hand.

Yay, more babies to play with.

Now you have a chair of your own.

You love to read...

And read...
Happy Second Birthday!  We love you so much and you have brought so much joy into our home.  You LOVE your older sister and you typically want everything that either she has or wants.

You amaze me how much you care about others at such a young age.  For example, whenever you want to get your drink out of the fridge you also have to get Aspyn's drink too, just in case she might want it.

You love sharing the seat with Aspyn when you watch movies more than the movie.  You love Pooh bear and you say it like "poop on".  Your favorite color is purple and you will eat anything. You love riding bikes with Aspyn in the backyard and you also love getting the dogs toys and playing with them.  You also love playing dress up with your sister and your first to get dressed up in is Snow White.  I don't know if that is because Aspyn always has to be Cinderella and you just go with it.

You also love water!  You can't get enough of it.  There are times that you want me to turn on the sink just so you can stick your hand in the water and have the water run through your fingers. Babies are another favorite.  Ever since you were very very little you would say baby. You also love coloring and you love love love reading.

We love you so much and are so excited for the years to spend with you in the future.

Love you!
